Head Coach Stan Bergman

Stan Bergman took the reigns of the Centennial volleyball program in the fall of 1999. He is currently a 6th grade teacher, coach, and athletic director at Jefferson Middle School. Bergman has degrees from the University of Illinois, Illinois State, and Parkland. His volleyball resume includes 9 years of coaching at Rantoul High School and extensive club volleyball involvement.

During his ten seasons at Centennial, the Chargers are 261-107-4 with 1 Sectional and 7 Regional Titles.
   
Jon

Junior Varsity Coach Jon Taylor

Jon Taylor joined the Chargers as JV coach prior to the 2006 season. He was also helping on the Charger bench during the 1997 to 1999 seasons and graduated from Centennial in 2000. In May 2009, after time away due to health issues, Jon graduated from the University of Illinios with a degree in Religion. He is currently employed full-time at the School of Labor and Employment Relations at the University of Illinois. Jon's future plans include graduate work in Divinity and/or Theology, which he has begun locally.

In addition to his six plus years with the program, Jon plays regularly and kept statistics for the Illini as a student. During his three years as coach, Centennial's Junior Varsity is 73-23. 		   

Freshman Coach Lindsay Hewitt

Lindsay graduated from GCMS High School in 2005 and earned an Associate's degree from Parkland College.  She is currently attending Milliken University and will graduate in January 2010 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Ms. Hewitt is currently student teaching at Kenwood Elementary School in Champaign. Lindsay was JV Coach at Urbana High School in 2007. 2009 is her first year as a Charger.

    
Judd

Assistant Varsity Coach Judd VanAntwerp

Judd graduated from Centennial in 2009 after many years of service and participation in the Charger volleyball program. He has been hired to remain on as a coach for the 2009 season and will continue to assist with the varsity team. Judd is currently attending the University of Illinois and Parkland College in pursuit of a degree in communications.
